Hi there, just registered, and based in Ayrshire in Scotland. I own a Silver '06 which I bought in April 2017 with 63k miles, and I've put 10K very happy miles on since. It's my second (well, third). My first was a black PFL with red leather seats which I had for a couple of years between 2004-2006. Second was bought also in April 2017, but had rather huge hole in subframe and was returned to dealership. This one's a Keeper - pretty rusty underneath, has a few dings here and there on the bodywork. So far I've replaced the subframe, shocks (now KYB's), springs (Tein), Chain tensioner (no rattling, but weeping at O ring), PCV Valve, I'm getting an underbody treatment done this week as I type, and I've just fitted new Yoko AD08R's on front (no money left to swap rears yet - totally skint!)
Hope to post some pics soon (warning - they'll be boringly familiar to anyone on mr2roc.org) :)

Welcome. <img src="http://spyderchat.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.png" border="0" alt="" title=";)" class="inlineimg" />

Good to see people restoring these cars back to their glory days.
UM will be by to give you the Spyderchat welcome.
Thanks :) been slowly learning basic maintenance - with this car, its the first time i've done basic maintenance like oil and oil filter change, air filter change and spark plug change. Ive also done a MAF clean, changed PCV Valve, taken off seat covers and washed, and i tried restoring fog lamps (unsuccessful). Been slowly buying tools like torque wrench, sockets, jack & stands, plug removal socket and O2 socket. Hoping to tackle brake discs and pads at some point. It's been a brilliant learning experience with highs and lows. Low point was failed self attempt at chain tensioner replacement - two very rusty nuts weren't for moving - had to call my local mechanic to the rescue :)
