2001 Toyota MR2 Spyder $6,500 OBO
Clean and clear Florida title in hand
Pictures available once I get them loaded
I purchased the car in October as a gas saver / project and am ready to move on to something new – the car runs as good (if not better) than you would expect for a 18 year old sports car and is ready to rid out into the summer sunsets. The car was bone stock when purchased so I can speak to all modifications done.
Cold AC and warm heat
No tears in leather seat
The top does not leak (it did when I got it but it has since been fixed – weather tested, weather approved)
New spark plugs and coils October ‘18
New Battery in December ‘18
New taillight switch March ‘19
Fog lights from a 96 EG, with 3,000k 55watt HIDs
Custom LED taillights
Red LED accent / puddle / interior lights
ValentineOne radar detector with remote arrow screen
Eliptech shift light
OMP suede steering wheel with NRG quick release (NO AIRBAG)
Sony AVX5000 in Navpod with backup camera
Added 6x9 and Kenwood KSC-SW11 sub in rear deck
Stance to make her dance
New 15x8 Enkie RFP1’s (gold) and 225/45 Toyo PROXES R1R have less than 2,000 miles on them and have been rotated every 1,000 miles.
Stock wheels (with burnout tires) on hand
BC Racing coilovers
Whiteline sway bars (front and rear)
Strut bars (front and rear)
Weapon R short ram intake
Stainless steal header
Customer Magnaflow bumper exit exhaust
The car needs a paintjob, the clearcoat is completely shot – you would need to sand it and prime it just to wrap it.
There are some body dents but nothing that couldn’t be fixed with a little love – nothing crazy
Current milage is 110,000 miles (but I don’t drive much)
The top ‘sticks’ when closing but nothing that prevents it’s use
Needs brake pads
Airbag light on due to steering wheel
Check engine light is on due to expected pre-cat issues, they were removed with the exhaust but between the pre-cats, no O2 sensor in the aftermarket header and being 18 years old, the light is on. Engine doesn’t operate abnormally.
The ABS light flashes when at a complete stop but not when braking and there are no breaking issues.
