The chrome tape that covers the interior door latch on the driver's side has peeled off. How does one repair this? I'm not car savvy, just want it to look like it was.

It’s very sharp, so don’t slice your fingers. The fix is to throw it away and buy a new handle. I think a RAV4 handle will work. I’ll try to find the cross reference.

You can use 2000-2005 RAV4 handle, but it will be black plastic instead of chrome. You must disassemble the new assembly and swap the handle parts over to your latch. There may be a chrome alternative from a Corolla. I’ll look for that.

Let me tell you what happened to me. This was peeling chrome plate on a motel faucet handle. It sliced through my fingernail and broke off internally. That was a real PITA. I had to shave down my nail before I could pick it out.
