I have been looking for a set of wheels for track. Try not to use R Compe tires yet like Nitto NT01 and such.

6ul 15x8 are out of stock and have to wait till march. So im looking at Enkei RPF1 in 15x7.
Question is can i run 225 RS3 on 7in wide wheels safely?

thanks

If going 15x7 then the Kosei from tire rack is great. Looks nice and fairly light and the price is geat.

+20 is too wide. I have them on my car. Probably too aggressive for stock fenders specially if running 225 on the front.

Why not just +30 front and rear? Then you can run 225 rs3 front and rear and have the ability to rotate wheels/tires.

If you are going to track the car then maybe try to fit 15x9 with 225 RS3.

I read that 15x9 wheels need spacers. well atleast on 6ul wheels. I dont like the idea of spacers. These wheels will be track wheels only. I have 16x8 +38 with 205/45 R16 at the front and it rubs under extreme hard cornering. 16x9 +30 with 225/45 R16 at the rear and no rub.

Will 15x8 +36 rub at the front? with 225/45 R15 ?

If you are going to be running on the track then you probably will be using lots of camber on the front. That should help them clear.

Some one posted here that TR Motorsports 15x9 does not need spacers to clear. They are $109 each on tire rack.

For whatever reason, i can only get up to -1.5 at the front. one side can go up to -2.0 but the other side only -1.5... so i set the both to -1.5. weird. The shop said that the chassis may be bent... Thats why i am worried about 15x8 +36 with 225 will rub with that camber.

I know you know what they are. :)
Joel posted right before me. My question is he using crash bolts and how many? Some shops are lazy and when they see camber plates they just ignore the lower bolts.

6ul +36 15x9s dont need spacers if you can use a dremel to clear 1-2mm off your rear strut knuckle.

FYI, if you go to Toyota to get the bolts ask for shouldered bolts. If you go in there asking for crash bolts they are going to look at you like you're an idiot. I'm also using two shouldered bolts up front, works great, I'm at about 2 degrees of neg camber as well.

use two crash bolts instead of one. you can do over 3deg with two..

I like the OBX camber bolts. I just did a coilover install on a spyder that had these. They looked good.
