The nice thing about these flywheels is you can easily replace the friction surface which makes it like new again. Fidanza list the replacement kit for about $80 or you can get it wherever quality auto parts are sold.
I’ve never heard of that, I have a fidanza on my mr2 with no issues and this one was on a matrix with no problems. These are my two first flywheels. Before I used to have the MWR flywheel on my matrix but everyone else in the club had fidanza With no problems. So I would say out of at least six that never had an issue.
Every once and awhile you hear stories like this. I know before people would never buy act clutches because a guy on new celica had a spring pop out, I’ve had three of them with no issues at all.
I remember hearing about the separating ring gear. This possibly was an issue more than ten years ago. I've done about half-dozen fidanza installs - three of them on my own cars - without an issue. By the way I won't buy an Exedy clutch. Exedy damper springs all pop out.
