There are a LOT of people from Former British Colonies, particularly India and Pakistan, in silicon valley (Mountain View).

Being an expert in funny Indian accents and writing it's not from that region.

If I have to place it I would say it's coming from a far east British Colony like Hong Kong or Singapore.

The poster is not the one selling. When I mention Nigerian it's just in reference to the scams that was originating from the UK long ago but have nothing to do with Nigeria.

So if it is for sale in the SF bay area why would I have to call an international number? This really isn't adding up. He/she was also trying to sell it on another site for $3000, exact same ad.

Very likely legitimate.
It's fine to offer a bulky item FS in Silicon Valley, but it would be nice to let the prospective buyers know it is shipping only from out-of-country.
