I see a lot of people running non-reclinable bucket seats with the stock seatbelts. How are you fastening the seatbelt buckle into the "receptacle"? Do you pass the buckle through the hole for harnesses or just pass it over the side bolster and down to the receptacle?

I'm currently fitting a bucket-style seat for trackdays, but am unsure if I will keep it in for DD duty. I don't want to have to use harnesses for DD duty, so I am trying to assess whether it's safe to run buckets with the OEM seatbelt.

I thread it through the left side to the anchor and pass it over on the right side to the buckle. No other choice on the right side unless you wanna make car fires REALLY exciting.

I'm also up and over the side bolster. I guess if you were really skinny you could have slack area for the lap belt, but I do not have that problem. (175 lbs @ 6 ft). Also depends how tall your side bolsters are.

That's what I do for the lab belt. My shoulder belt goes all the way around, not through the harness holes.
