Don't worry about exact time just hit the :00, it will show time in 15 min intervals.

You know You could buy a cheap wrist watch with big display and stick it in front of original. This way you get a chance to be creative!!! You also get added features like seconds and date. Now thats a mod worth doing!!!

My suggestion would have been similar, just look for a small battery powered clock that you can then place where ever you want, and as an added bonus, you wont have to reset the time when ever you take the car battery out. Should be able to find something decent for not much money at all, have a look at a large auto parts store or otherwise try ebay!

If you were intending on spending the $221 that toyota wants for the clock then it would be a good opportunity to upgrade your headunit to an aftermarket one which will as an added bonus display the time.

That is a terrible price for the clock. I do like and use the clock.

Put you cell phone dock over top of it, the charging phone's back-light will stay on and show you the time plus notifications of new email/texts. And when you are lost in time/space, it will be your GPS.
