Hi everyone,
I get water inside the compartments behind the seats when it rains, the top is fine but old. I saved some money to get the best deal. I'm going with cloth instead of vinyl. Any tips for that issue and or installation will be really appreciated.
Do I have to replace the ''weather stripes?" / rain rails / "side gate seal”? Not sure how they look or to check if that is my problem.

While you have the ragtop fabric removed, look at the vinyl boots around the drains on both sides. Check for tears or rips. The boots are supposed to funnel the water into the drains.

I didn't replace anything other than the ragtop when I did mine - no seals or other parts. Depending on whose instructions or video you follow, there may be differences. The instructions I followed the first time were not too good.

You should install the back of the fabric first by the engine lid. Then go to bow #1 at the very front. Install the flap onto bow #2 next.

You need all the flex you can get to pull the fabric over bow #1. Do it soon as possible so you can let the new top sit in the hot sun before stretching over bow #1. It will be very very tight. It is hard to stretch the fabric wide enough to hook the ears over bow #1. I wrapped one ear around a screwdriver handle and pulled on the corner with all my strength.
