Because the seller was not the one who did the maintenance, other than changing the battery because it was likely in a weakened state. I think it's a reasonable assumption that the lifelong car enthusiasts from which it was obtained were the sort who kept fresh fluids in their multiple cars. Even so, it's an easy enough thing to ask the seller to contact the previous owners to ask the question.If the oil was changed after 2011, why wouldn't seller state that? Makes no logical sense. And if the seller doesn't know when it was last changed... do you really want to buy that car??
