Again, you don't read all the way to the end.I am not about to fork over $30k for an assumption. I don't even know why we are still talking about that car. I never tried to compare my car.
As I mentioned in a reply earlier, I am only selling it to buy my dream car. $15k isn't going to matter so I would just keep it.There's no crime in asking for what you think your car is worth.
But when you post it on a forum of Spyders owners, you should expect a tempered answer. If you were smart, you would take the response and split the difference between what we think, and what the general public would think.
It's all business when it comes to value so don't take it too personal. Most of us aren't in the business of profiting off of these cars. We love them and want to see them driven.
Compromise was on the books for me too, I was interested in a MkI or II, drove a Mk I new in HS complements of an uncle who was a salesman and had one as a demo at the time. But the spouse wasn't into angular designs. Shifted to Mk3, first convertible and found it very enjoyable and glad to have made this decision and get an mid-engine vehicle. If it were in my means I'd get a NSX, in '04 you could touch used drivers for about the same money as the STI I purchased new then...but 2 seat wasn't an option for me then.It wasn't my dream car when I started, in fact it was a compromise - until I got to know it better. Now I honestly don't think about buying other sports cars, having already owned a Z06 I'm here to tell you this car is actually more fun to drive.
