Just wondering if anyone would be interested in a meet at the Tail of the Dragon some time this spring. The last SADAS meet was in 2019. I haven't been there since then. I sure would like to get together with some spyder owners sometime soon. Any suggestions.

I just texted Eric.

--In my last communication with him, his Spyder was going to yet another shop to try sorting out his problematic Kswap.... again

--update, he just texted back that the shop it's in thinks they solved the issue, so "maybe" will get involved with a 2023 SADAS event.

April/May would work well for me. Busy 4/1 but I would be interested, haven't done it before and its on my list of roads to travel.

I was thinking late April or May, I prefer as warm a weather as possible. My wife and I are going to Japan in June to visit her family. Sometime before June would be good. We're all good here phattires , how's things at the spyder ranch? Any new additions?

I'm interested. I have a place near Blue Ridge so not too far from my crash pad. I have several trips coming up including Florida and Italy so if it works around those I can drive up from Charleston.

Come on... You know you want to "wankle the two before then."
I will make the Dragon meet up, if there is an MR2 with a wankle to see! Rotary Rally Hmm, don't have a rotary anymore, but any good excuse to drive up the dragon - Hell I may even go to the elements on the dragon this year if I still own one in May. (May 13th) As for the MR2 weekend - I made the SADAS 2019 (great time), and hope to make this one if stars align. so - maybe this thread title should be changed to have the 'planned' date in the title so its easy to find and plan around?

Personally, the Dragon is kind of "meh" to me, since I have far superior roads so close to home. I do, however enjoy seeing large groups of Spyders in the same place. Thing is, spring time meets always seem to happen at the same time as my yearly spring time camping trip with my motorcycle club where people literally come from multiple countries to descend upon North Georgia to visit the roads I just mentioned.... so I may not make it.

I have some private roads by me that have zero moronic motorcycle riders on them. The thing is, I would have to check in whoever was planning to drive them. If I brought in 30 cars I may get a bit of an annoyed letter about yall's loud mufflers (or lack there of).

Yeah, we're not that kind of club. We tend to get our riding out of the way while those jackwagons are sleeping one off. Mid days are spent in the campground swapping stories and nights find us around an irresponsibly hot fire until all hours discussing the next day's routes. Note the glowing red steel of the fire ring...
