Hi, I was lookin through craigslist for some new wheels for my spyder. Can't afford to drop 1000+ on new tires and rims as I just bought new tires last year for 600....

Anyway I came upon this ad
http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/dak/pts/2758980930.html

I think they might complement my mica blue spyder well, since I plan on blacking a lot of it out. Will these even fit on the stock spyder? I can't seem to figure out which offsets/tire combos would work.

Thanks in advance.

These are black 17 x 7 Falken Torque 5 powder coated rims with 205-40-17 Nexun low profile tires..................

Bolt pattern is 4x100... and offset is 40mm. Check online to see if that is what your car has.

They will fit ok, but you will need to sort out the tyres.. yes, tyres ;p (same size all round isn't recommended., If you haven't done so already, I would consider lowering the car too as when I first fitted 17's on mine it was way to floatey at the front (too much air getting under the car at speeds above 80mph)

bah...I was hopin they would work well enough as-is. I wish I would have bought used tires last summer, 550 for new Sdrives only to be lookin for bigger wheels kind of feels wasted. I'm sure I could find a few used low profile tires for the front, or maybe even some larger ones for the back, but then there's the added expensive of taking off, and puttin on the new tires.

This summer I have a feelin my car is gonna get spoiled.

It's a bone stock mica blue mr2. It's in storage now, so I can't get pictures of my actual car.

Here's a link to a picture I found on google.

They aren't my first choice, I'd rather have some ROTA grids, or Enkei rims in Hyper black. But I don't have the funds right now since I'm a college student. I want something other than the tiny stocks, they make the car look like a Red Flyer wagon to me. Thanks a lot!

Then maybe you should wait a little longer until you have the proper funds to actually get wheels you want.

it'd be hard to find the exact wheels I want used. I don't think any new wheels are worth over 1000 dollars, which is what I'd have to spend to get them with the tires. I'd rather pay 400 for some "better than stock" wheels, then use the other 600 on other upgrades like a spoiler, sound system, HID's, tint, etc.

I'll have to agree with that lo. Thanks for the chop work though, it looks perfect.

I just saw Che was having a discount to Spyderchat members on Enkei wheels. I'm leanin towards the EV5's

I like the color, and it still goes with the 5 spoke style. Would 16's in the front and 17's in back look better?
