I wished I found out about this before I bought the Amuse rear crash bar.

I don't have a weight. The kids threw weights on the screen. By holding both one hand, this one is lighter than the stock. Maybe 3 pd or so.

 

^Never mind. Maybe about the same +/- 2 pds. Depends on how you holding it.

The rear bumper bar is 10 lbs.

 

I just weight a spare bumper beam on my bathroom scale. 8.4lbs both times. Beam had 3 bumper attachment clips and 3 02sensor/taillight harness clips attached.

 

I told the wife to buy a new scale. I'm surprised as much as she weigh herself, we don't have one yet (how did she go on this long without one, I told her what happened and threw it away myself). I'll update the weight whenever she gets a new scale.

 

I will weight tomorrow night. Wife is finally getting a new scale.

Rear bumper 10.46 lbs. No wiring, no mounting hardware. Just the bumper.

 

If only I didn't sell all my workout bench equipment with all my weights just a few days ago. That way I could see if my scale was off or not. But I do remember checking the accuracy when I first got it a year or so ago with one of the 10lb weights. It was accurate, then.

I checked again and again its 8.6lbs. In your pic you have the rubber hanger still on and looks like 3 of the 02 sensor clips still attached as well (FYI) just like mines.

Maybe you can check your scale too with something verifiable.

Why add the smaller tubing diameters?

The smaller tubing is just an option. It would save some money on the user end and weight.

 

Just an FYI for anybody that wants to space the license plate out. When I installed the crash bar, the license plate was at a very noticeable angle. So a quick stop to the store (Lowe's) to pick up some longer 1/4-20 bolts and nylon spacers. I've got 2.5" SS screws and 2" nylon spacers to bring it out. It's pretty close to the stock appearance I think. But it maybe be different for others.
