Cracks in your injectors or bushing thing or orings? I wouldn't wait. And to plug my own sale, I have a set of fine working condition injectors I just took out that are FS. Wouldn't be too bad to ship such small items. Pm me for a price.

 

These where out of my old engine but look exactly like the ones in my car.

NP but those cracks seem odd. Who installed them? Maybe they cranked down too hard on holding bolts?

 

I was thinking maybe heat related as both sets where from different engines.

Ran a injector cleaner through the fuel system and fuel smell has gone, so injectors needed a clean. But that's just a quick fix til I buy brand newies.

Of course, you can carry a fire extinguisher for the inevitable.

 

The plastic is just a "casing" around the interior body. A crack in it will not effect anything other than aesthetics.

 

Cracked plastic on the injectors is very common in AZ. At least 6 of 7 sets I have seen have similar cracks.

 

You folks are scaring me. Injectors are too inexpensive to put cracked ones in a motor vehichle. From the picture i see, the plastic shroud goes all the way up to an o ring.
