I like the older lights better. Theyre also cheaper.

Has anyone done a write up? Or have any experience? Thank you

Yes, they physically fit. You need to change the wiring and the factory behavior. Problem is that the 03+ behavior is keep low beams on when high beams come on. Can't do this with a single bulb, both filaments cannot be on at once. So you need to figure out a way to cut power to low beams when highs are enabled.

I made this for converting a USDM 7th gen Corolla front end to JDM but it should work just the same. Converts dual beam headlights into a single H4 headlight design. Relay turns power off to the low beams when highs are triggered. Pretty sure the H4 socket pictured is the BACK of the socket, but that's easily confirmed by Googling the H4 pinout.
