How to replace a dipstick on a 2ZZ

My car had a dipstick that was snapped in half (after an attempt to re-bend/shape the stock 1zz dipstick). I'm stumped on how to replace the dipstick on a 2ZZ spyder which I picked up from MWR. I can get the old dipstick out just fine, but I'm unable to wiggle through the new one. Does anyone have any tips on swapping these things?

Are you talking about the tube?
Did you get a new o-ring? I lube it with a bit of motor oil and just pop it in carefully so as not to damage the o-ring. I really didnt like the way it wiggled to much.
Yeah….MWR’s dipstick tube sucks. I had to do some bending and trim part of the bracket to get it to fit right. If your 2ZZ is out of the car than it’s easy enough to do all that, but probably next to impossible with the 2ZZ in. Remember, you use the 1ZZ dipstick on the 2ZZ.

I thought my dipstick tube was the only one from MWR that didnt fit, but I guess there are others. It was a while back but I want to say I paid $60 for that little peice of tube.

I have spoken to a few members that regretted not getting the tube when they did the swap though. And we are all under the assumption that the OP is talking about the Dipstick Tube, not the dipstick itselt.
correct! this is about the dipstick tube. i bought the first MWR dipstick tube from TwosRUs and that didn't fit at all (looked like it needed trimming and a relocated bracket). i ordered another from MWR directly and this time it looked correct. i was so close on replacing the tube until i realized that there wasn't enough clearance due to the alternator and motor mount being in the way :(
It takes some finagling to get it and the breather tube gets in the way. I have to give mine a slight bend to get it so that my 2zz swap mount will fit under.
