It's a high mileage SMT. 100K miles is where I see them with Trans problems. For those without an experienced SMT repair tech and access too used or rebuilt parts, the car becomes virtually worthless.
Agree risky but super early 05 with ls z1 option and leather. At 6k it could be a great car at the bottom of the 05 market. Also, there might be a reason for the price drop.

It's at a body shop. They are telling me it will probably be salvaged. It fell off a rack and has damage underneath in the floor and suspension area that they don't think can be repair. I'm waiting for pictures of the damage to be sent to me.

Just curios what you think it's worth ?
Just curios what you think it's worth ?
If it is an air bubble in the system and no damage the original $3500 is a great deal. If the engine is toast the market running price of that car if it is super clean is about $7000 so you will need to do the math. The color is common for 2005. It will never be a top dollar car with the mileage and non matching engine. Lee

It'S an SMT with a dead engine. It's worth $2000-3500. Buying a none running you always run the risk something besides the engine is not working.

If it was a manual it would attract more attention.

Parts and labor to replace that engine can run $2500. Then you have tax, license, and any shipping costs to move a non running car.

I am still documenting cars. I have been unable to find many new cars not on the current list. It is hard to explain how finding 2-5 cars per week have gone down to none in the last couple weeks. I did recently find a PGP stick with 40k miles in Texas. A holy grail car. Owner will not provide vin but cooperated on most of the important information.

Here is some more important 2005 information from my data. I still need the price of three items. Hope you find this helpful. So for $1,000 you got the SMT system, 6 speed and cruise control. Had to cost more for Toyota to add those option. If someone with a 2004-05 car has the lug lock option, shift knob or owners portfolio please share the price with me off your window sticker. My car also has NG No Gas and XX Drop Ship Indicator
Thanks Lee

I gave Deb (the seller) the recent sales and value of her car, pros and cons and she stayed with the $18k price she started with. Car should sell between $13.5-$14+k. The blue stick with the same miles, options and condition sold for $15k by a dealer in California. I couldn't pull the trigger for $15k plus tax but had the chance.
jtdfr320750070678 8r2 Paradise Blue/Black fa20 19K miles Montclair CA ls z1 fs $15k cf sold 2/19

SMT, end of summer and location will hamper the sales price.
