I THOUGHT I knew what I was doing, but I could use some help.

I have been riding the struggle bus trying to get my car corner balanced with the new coilovers.

My last set balanced out really easily and they were so close it was almost too good to be true. This new set I cannot get set up the way I would like. the front driver side seems to want to be 50lbs heavier no matter what I do. I have always been told you adjust the ride height, not the spring preload when balancing. My past experiences with coilovers have shown this to to be the correct way, and there was never a noticeable difference in ride height corner to corner. This time, almost every corner has a 1cm difference.

Then, after reconnecting the sway bar links, the weights went even more off the rails. The links are unloaded when it's on the wheels, as they should be. The only other thing I "think' might be a factor is all of the chassis bracing "might" need to be loosened to slack when doing the weights. I have done this 3x time now and it never comes out right.

Does anyone have any insight or tips as to where I might be going wrong with this and how to fix it?

This is my worksheet with my results before I reconnected the sway bars.

The cross balance is more important than the actual individual weights when weight jacking to fix the balance. You want the front right and left rear to pick up some of the weight that the front left and right rear currently hold.

To be brief, you may be looking to add a little hight to the left rear.

Longer answer.... I'm assuming you've got your sways disconnected when measuring this. If you don't, do that before adjusting anything. If you've got preload on one side, fix that instead of trying to shift it with your coilovers.

I usually prefer to use this tool when adjusting, since I have a basic scale that doesn't do corner stuff.
