I am curious as to whether or not my top is original. A friend from work bought a miata and i thought both tops are vinyl. However mine has a bit of a weave to it instead of just flat like his. I think its canvas. How can i tell if its original?

From outside the car, look at the lower left corner of the back glass.
The manufacturer's name (and other info) should be there.
If it doesn't say "Toyota", the top is not original.
