States that it suffered pre-cat failure, so likely wasn't taken care of before it became a problem, and there's no really telling how long they were an issue before it was dealt with. Is the engine toast?

Treat it a a roller and make an offer based on that. If you can do the work yourself you can probably have a nice car for $1200 to 1500 over the price of the car. If you have to pay someone to put the motor in then you will be looking at a total price closer to $2000 over the price of the car.

I could definitely do the work myself, finding the time is another issue though....guess I've got some things to consider...
