I can consider myself rid of the motorbike racing reflex.
Currently enetring corners a gear higher than I normally would.
For two reasons. One being I that I enter just than bit faster/deeper and accellerate less. The second being that a gear higher also makes the balance responses to the throttle smoother, easier.
The 1ZZ is strong enough to get away with a bit less revs and it improves the smoothness flowing through series of bends.

Snelbaard's breastplate is a copy of Corky's. We have a lot of bracing on a 2002, and the breastplate probably made the most difference of any single change. It adds considerable torsional stiffness. Highly recommended.
