Got a bunch of misfire codes today, so I went to clean the MAF.

As I was putting it back on, I noticed one screw just spins & doesn't hold. The screw is fine, but the hole is stripped out. No idea how long its been that way.

Do I need to replace the air filter box thingy (not sure what to call it) it screws into?

The MAF o ring seems a bit stretched out as well.

Had the same issue, found a slightly larger screw and took care of the problem. Trick is finding a screw that is the same length, self trapping and just a bit bigger diameter but not so much as to split the plastic.

I am having this same exact problem. One screw just started to spin in place somehow..
My car is actually undrivable at the moment and I'm assuming this is the cause.
When I'm taking off, the car bogs down big time and doesn't go above a 2.5 - 3k RPM.
Each time the engine revs, it bogs down, CEL comes on then goes away.

I'm hoping it's just a screw needed to seal the MAF properly

A member gave me a part number once a while back ago and I ordered the part but it was for a 2000 2001 models. He told me it would work.
