Jumped in car this morning and went to start my 2000 mr2 spyder and it cranked but nothing else, first thing was i changed battery but still did the same thing, checked for spark and plugs are fine, tried to start again this time put foot on accelerator and it turned over for 5 secs and blow out a puff of black smoke. I gutted pre-cats when i first brought the car and changed plugs only a month ago, oil was changed and filter at same time. drove fine yesterday everything was normal. any thoughts?
