Just drove home with my 2004 red spyder. Very excited. Drove home from salt lake city to Spokane.

Nice! Check precats (I personally would remove even in a FL car but YMMV), make sure your soft top drains are clear of debris, flush all of your fluids, & check the brake pads/rotors. Enjoy the long rides & good vibes

Nice car I am up north in Castlegar bc if you ever come this way lets meet!
Thanks. It's got 66000 miles.
Gonna change oil and filters, check brakes and rotors and under carriage next week. Will be removing precats soon.
Everything works. Looks like well taken care of.
Bought it only off pics, only surprise was amount of rock chips. But after driving and seeing how low, it makes sense every rock hits paint.

Never leave the country, but plenty of curvy scenic drives nearby

Congrats!
I got my own Spyder three months back (my son has had a red 2000 since 2017) - also drove it home with the top down, and as much as possible since.

Only time top will go up would be caught in rain or spending night away from home and when stored for winter.
I love it! So much fun.
Welcome to the club! Looks great!

It appears to have been taken care of.
Drives great, lotsa fun
We're in Spokane too with a red '00; let's meet up!

Also, let me know where you are getting your work done. We moved back here 10 months ago from SLC (ironically) and we're trying to identify places we'd trust to do work on the Spyder.

Beautiful find, btw!

So far doing my own work. Oil and filter and air filter and plugs and checking everything I can on Thursday. Next week, tackle the precats.
Live in nine mile. Retired, weather getting nicer, let's cruise.

Precats gone as of yesterday. They were perfect, but, too many warnings here and YouTube had me nervous.
Ticking time bomb gone now.

Yeah I feel that. Actually met a fellow Spyder owner who had his engine blow up at 110,000 because he didn’t remove the pre-cats. Made me incredibly wary but he was nice enough to give me a header he was going to put on his car for free. I love it and it makes my car sound slightly nicer. Also make sure that you either put a locking washer or a bit of Loctite on your exhaust bolts to avoid them backing off. I had that problem with mine and it blew the gasket and I had to replace it. Not that hard to do but easier to just prevent it.
