I get a flat on the way home, 2 days ago, huge blowout. I am panicing because 225/40-16's take a few days to get from anybody, and I drive 80 miles a day. A bit much for a donut....But wait, thank you Toyota it is a fullsize Potenza never touched, in pristine condition since 2003.

I pull off the snazzy cover and boom it hits me...it is a directional tire for the wrong side of my flat. I have not put my interior back in since getting my new top last week, all I here is this loudest womping noise coming thru my un-insulted firewall...a directional spare, REALLY?

I would also be careful because what appears to look like a new tire is actually old and can cause you an accident if driven at high speed or it can be prone to separate. Tires over 5 years are junk.
