OEM+ Floormat Option - Frog Factory Mats/Review

Hello! It's been a while since I've posted, but I would like to introduce the forum to a new company a buddy of mine started. The brand is Frog Factory and he made some floormats for those of us who want more mat options. I'll include some pictures of the OEM Spyder mats along with the my set of Frog Factory Mats. I decided to write this review after installing a set on my dad's 05.

Features of the Frog Factory Mats

• Oem Look (relatively) (there are also options for checkerboard design, but I prefer plain black interior)
• Oem Fitment/ Cut
• Added Grommet for the factory mat hook
• strong heel pad area (pretty comfy for heel toe downshifts)

Differences compared to OEM

• Slightly lighter than OEM mats (good or bad thing, but that is probably due to how the backing is woven)
• Less studding than the OEM mats on the back (the majority of the backing has a textured surface along with studding though)
• Stiffer material than OEM mats (not quite soft, but definitely not hard fabric)
• Heel pad

Personal Thoughts
After owning my set for a little while I've decided that they were worth posting about for those who were in the market for floormats. I've looked online recently and realized that there weren't many options for the spyder. While there are relatively OEM options out there, they all seem to be missing the mounting grommets for the hooks on the driver side. I just wanted a drop in alternative that would be simple and effective. I don't think I'll be wearing through the heel pad anytime soon on this set of mats. I think these mats would be great for anyone who is looking for a decent set of replacement mats with the hook holes. Similarly, these mats can also be configured to checkerboard design for the enthusiasts who are looking for more color inside the car. If I do buy another set I'll probably go for a checkerboard pattern to provide more pictures for you all.

Other notes
Facelift models have 2 grommets for their mats. Frog Factory created these mats according to the PFL specs so you may need to install a grommet for the second hook. I believe they are currently working on fixing the issue within the next few days.
