Got my black one yesterday. Thanks! I've taken off the cowboy hat, just need to clean off the crap underneath. iv gotten rid of the sticky stuff, but i cant seem to get rid of the ghost of the old badge. anyone know whats best to use? i read that someone else used white spirit, but im a bit skeptical about rubbing that onto paintwork. any help would be much appreciated.
Curious to know how this worked out for you?

I saw a thread from a guy here who used something after installing the new badge but can't find it now. I'd like to do this but don't want the ghost effect.

Hi from UK

I'm going to get one of these but I'm having trouble deciding which one!

I have a Silver 2003 so I cant use the silver.

I like the official toyota blue... becuase its the official one.
I like the black becuase its contrasty and slick.
I like the red becuase i have red leather seats so it would go nice with them.

Does anyone else with the 2003+ silver paint have one and which colour did they go for....

Pics would be fantastic.

cheers guys!!

Got mine today...looks great!

Install took about 10 minutes. I would post PIX but I don't want anyone making fun of my frunk gap:blink:

I've just received my badge and it looks amazing on! I'll post some pictures soon; but the colour match is spot on, and the product was packed very neatly including all Toyota official stickers so there was no danger of damage.

To get rid of the gunge under the original badge, I used something called 'Sticky Stuff remover'. I was initially quite skeptical; but it didn't result in any discoloration. I picked it up from Homebase, a chain hardware store here in the UK.

To get rid of the cowboy 'ghosting', I used T-cut (I'm not sure if you get that in the States), which got rid of it after 2 or 3 applications and buff-downs.

Thanks again, a great product at a great price!

Oops, I forgot all about this thread!

This took literally 5 minutes as the Cowboy Hat simply pulled right off; no water, floss or fishing line needed:). A quick rinse with some water and then a buff with this stuff;

Looks pretty good, you can see a slight ghost at certain angles though:rolleyes:;

Thanks!

I recently purchased one of your emblems on eBay -- and wanted to say thank you, again, for putting out such a quality product and providing such great service.
