I know that.
What I'm saying is, why is there a two inch gap between the tray and the bumpstops it appears it should come up to when the roof is up.
It's untidy and surely wasn't designed to leave a gap?

That's 100% as-designed. Really, if you rule out the possibility that your rear interior trim has somehow magically risen, the only variables are the pair of strings holding it up and their attachment points. It would be very little work to shorten those strings up if you're adventurous.

So everyone's car has this gap?
Mine doesnt... i was able to fix this issue by throwing both the soft top and the parcel tray in the rubish where they belong

Now i no longer have this gap... problem solved. This is actually the best practice solution for most softop related problems.
