programming doors help please.SOLVED

SOLVED


Hi there, i have been trying to program my own key, i got the ignition mobiliser working but the doors wont lock or unlock via the fob.

I have tried all sorts of instructions, you got any i dear please or hidden instructions.

the car a mr2 2001.

any link you used to program the doors well appreciated cheers.

please help.

I am trying the pdf, looks the same info as others, but ill have a go.

and if all else fails: do you know you have a good battery in the fob?

batary new

My battery is new mate.(added them only 4 days ago.)

I got the transponders from another website from dickski, Then got two keys cut, i got the transponders programmed for the immobiliser with the pedal dance, all works except the doors unfortunately.

ps. Any button pressed also lights on the remote, so we no they work.

no luck

I just tried ever think on the pdf, and what the other link said.

Sadly no joy at all.

My lights never flash during the programming process unfortunately.

it a shame loving the car thu.

if you are replacing a remote and no longer have an old remote that you want to use, do pages 4 and 5 from the pdf link, otherwise you might be maxed on the number of remotes on the system.

I know that Remote Keyless Entry was not standard equipment, but rather a dealer/port-installed option, on the 2000 model year. Was it standard equipment on the 2001?

i hope your wrong, i have been on this 2 weeks now....

others with 2001 mr2 do the same and get it going , but not me unfortunately.

solved key programming.

i solved it yee haa.

Thanks every body for your help.

How i done it.

1. open the door.
2.take your key out of the ignition,keep your door open.
3.insert the key in and out of the ignition twice.
4.close the door twice and open the door.keep door open.
5.insert the key in the ignition once and remove it.
6.close the door twice and open the door.keep door open.
7.insert the key into the ignition and leave it there
8.now shut that door.
9.turn the key to the on position once.
10.remove the key, the door will lock once and the lights will flash.
11. now hold the lock and unlock buttons together.
12.hold the unlock button on it own.

key fob programmed.
