Emissions

Swapping out the ECU and injectors isn't that big a deal, both times I've needed to (every two years here) it has worked without any problems except one O2 sensor wire got burned somehow. Fixed that and good to go.
Did you need to do anything with the wastegate when you went through testing? Just feather-foot it or what?

No, just drove it the 8-10 miles home from where we swapped out the injectors, drove another 10 miles or so up the freeway to get the temp up and took it to the inspection station. Shifted around 2.5-3.0K or so I think

The stock ECU stays in place and I have the Power FC mounted with it.

Well i couldnt wait to install the lotus diffuser and have the exhaust modified alil to come out of the center exit of the diffuser!
Turned out great even though i had to cut out some decent size notches in the rear bumper to fit it to my satisfaction, also opened up more room for the eventual intercooler! Im super happy with the outcome! Here is a starter pic to tease yall, this is the second lotus diffuser ive installed this one i took the time to find the perfect mounting points and im much much happier with the results!

Rburton, i have a tk.com intercooler custom made by them for their kit. If your interested.

Thanks. That's good to know. When my bank account recovers sufficiently from the round of MWR mods I just had done, I'll have to revisit the "To Turbo, or Not to Turbo" question.

Alot has changed since my last update a year and a half ago, of course with any turbo setup your constantly battling intake air temps so that mainly what ive been focused on, I tried an air to air intercooler for about a year and just recently installed an a2w setup i got from MikeV here on the forums, i finally joined the hardtop club as well[emoji1303] and deleted the soft top! Added oil cooler and oil temp gauge, some othe small details,
Changed up the wheels from stock and got to attend my first toyotafest this year!

Now back to the turbo setup, the turbokits.com BLF kit is a great starter kit but i feel most people are gonna eventually customize it as well, i ended up blowing a oil seal on the exhaust housing of the blf turbo and upgraded to a garrett gtx2560R
which are used alot by the sr20 and miata community, the response of a dual ball bearing turbo vs journal bearing is night and day difference

Since moving out to socal and going turbo ive done a few track days with and without spraying methanol, even since going a2w the methanol injection reduces knock so much on the track, I highly recommend it!

Ive also changed from the top secret style front bumper to an 03 w/ lip and rocket bunny splitter installed and duplicated from Ducatist921 car

He also was kind enough to to duplicate his chassis mount wing and cut outs on the rear bumper and installed side intake canards as well

Finally i have a bumper with really good fitment!
I ran the TS bumper for like 5 years but im much much happier with this setup!

If your not on instagram the zzw30 community is pretty crackin on there so check that out 2!

Here goes the photo bomb!

Back to a BFW haha. I gotta bust your chops some on it, but really I like this newest transformation and love those wheels dude. What pump are you running for your A2W setup and have you logged IAT after changing to A2W?

Nice. You can probably go wider specially in the rear. What suspension is on that car?

I think that car can do 1:24 at SOW with good tires and suspension. Maybe you can get Mark Tsai to drive it for a couple of laps to get a baseline and some handling feedback. He also runs a 1zz turbo. He is one of the best Time Attack drive I know.

Rcntype, yea the diffuser needs alil TLC, some new paint or something but i get alot of thumbs up on it w/ the center exit exhaust, most people out in cali like the wing as well

Arana, how you been man, hows your mega build coming along?
We need to meet up again soon

NOCOOLNAME omg its so great to hear from an old friend, yea i live BFW so I appreciate you giving me crap about it !!! I still daily the spyder, IAT that I monitor are all before methanol spray but im consistently between 35 and 55 degrees C during boost, but thats way better than peaking close to 70 C when i was a2a, thanks for the thumbs up on my wheels and changes, cant wait to see the Kentucky gang again in a few years!!!

Silversprint, I definitely plan on changing from my stock shocks w/ TTE springs pretty soon, also plan on running a 235/50/15 on some toyo r888, but i hear they have a new 888 tire ourt, i was able to meet mark at the last trd event at Fontana
He ran 1:11 and was running a dual event with redline time attack and trd cup, was able to meet cosmin as well
Very cool folks
Im sure i have alot of room to improve as ive only been on each of those tracks only once, experience will make a big difference in my confidence level next year!
Thats a great idea about having mark drive my car, that would be awesome, thanks for tossing out the idea!
Love the zzw30 community, you guys are the best!

R888s suck. Save your money. A 245/40/15 rc1 is a better tire. They also make a 225 if you can't fit a 245 in the front.

If you are looking for street tire there are a couple of good tires available now in 245/15.
