I'm almost done with the refinishing on these advan super genII's
Alloy wheel Rim Spoke Wheel Auto part

faces turned out decent. not perfect, but decent. a bit rough around the edges, but should be fine for now. I'll be getting them bolted up to the barrels this week and taking them to get tires around wednesday-ish

Interesting choice in wheels and color. It should give you a very unique look. What tires are you going with?

i'm eyeing a set of dunlop direzzas in 215/40/16R for the front and 225/40/16R for the rear.

edit: settled on toyo r1r 205 45 front, 225 45 rear. wheels will/should be on by tomorrow evening. just finished the reassembly on these and i'm pumped AF

Update: wheels on car. car cleaned up a bit. little rough around the edges but daily driver. needs bolt-on spacers on rear. ordered a pair of ichiba spacers.

An update: as of today, she sits like this:

New spacers in rear and moved the rear spacers up front. These are hubcentric spacers and everything was torqued carefully.

I plan to make some custom fiberglass bits to cover the front tire better in front and achieve some better lines.
Additional plans:
  • mildly sprung and damped adjustable coilovers with air cups for essentially nose lift functionality. 1 inch of drop is my target for drive ability in non-ideal conditions
  • Custom made floor mat/liners
  • footwell lighting
  • bride seat to replace the driver's seat and be able to sit lower
  • hard top
  • flocked or suede covered dash panel...?
  • unrealistic dreams

I've ordered a C65 6 speed off ebay that was out of a smt car. Going to be converting the gearbox to work with my manual car, then in it goes. Maybe even get the opportunity to bleed my clutch line again.

on another note, is there an alternative to the MWR "C" kit that would save me any money or do i just bite the bullet and go for it?

In terms of cost, it’s probably the most affordable option. I have heard that those shifters rest off-center, so that is the only thing I would watch out for though I don’t have experience myself. Might want to see if you can snag a TRD short shifter, I saw one on sale here awhile back.

i think you're talking about the C's sts that SK had a group buy for. i already have that. i was talking about the parts kit from MWR's smt conversion "a", "b", and "c" sets. i don't need a or b since my car's a manual already,

Edit, rear wheels incoming.
I think i'm gonna also do some refinishing on the centers when i get it back to match the condition of my fronts. Nice and WIDE
