Same here... Over the weekend, I installed the FMB, MSMB, and RMB (minus the arms, for now), and put the dog in the car to go out and collect some timing data (for the PFC). I didn't figure I would be able to drive it hard enough to feel any difference, and was surprised at just how different the car felt driving normally... more planted, more solid feeling. Can't wait to take a more spirited drive!

As many others have said, well worth the time and money!

Thanks guys for the good words, it makes it all worth while.

We are nearing the end of this round of sales and therefore I need to especially cautious when notifing, packaging and shipping these braces out. I don't need to screw up anyone's order, and I need to give people ample time to respond after they recieve their invoice. And to be honest this has been one of the easier GB that I've had in awhile, and kudos to all that have maintained their patience levels with me. I know that this has been going for sometime, but I only need to hear from a couple of people and then I can wrap this up. This hinges mostly on the people that have 1st dibs on the MSMB, and I think one FMB. As it looks right now everything is sold, so unfortunatly the 1st dibs may not happen.

Got my breast plate yesterday and put it on right away. But while torquing it down to 28 ft./lbs. one of the bolts sheared off at the head. It must have been defective or something. Now I have to take it off and try to get the threaded part out.

Oh Boy!

But even with one of the middle bolts gone the Spyder feels much more solid. Thanks Corky. Check your bolt source, too.

Too bad about the breakage, on the good side - you should be able to twist out the threaded part after you remove the brace. There shouldn't be any pressure on the screw, and it should turn out.

 

Well this just about wraps up this round of braces, and I want to thank you guys for making all this happen, if it wasn't for your support nothing would have happened at all.
Spyders, Spyder Drivers, and SpyderChat are all pretty cool.
Here is the list as of today, I'm waiting for payment from a few people yet. I need to hear from a couple of people yet before I can cut loose with any of their spoken for braces. I'll let this rest until the 1st of the month then see where we are.

I just received my BP. Very, very impressive. Will have to wait until we get nice weather around here to do the install.

 

Got my BP today. My brother is hogging the jack stands but I can't wait to get it installed.

Installed my brace today, also sheared a bolt off (had my torque wrench set to 28 LBs), went back and redid them once I removed the bolt. Looking at the factory bracing, it's amazing that they put that dinky sheet metal on the car the way they did, I'm surprised most members haven't lost a tooth filling going over bumps.

this is the 2nd time i hear of someone busting a nut. what's up with everyone breaking the bolts? are the oem ones not good or rusted due to age?

Just got back from the 'install party'! Gave the new BP a good test drive. Permagrin!! Nothing beats driving a spyder along one track twisties at sunset! BP made noticable difference, stiffer on bumps, easier to control in corners, kicking the tail out is much more predictable. Thanks a lot Corky!
