I actually busted one of Corky's supplied nuts. Had to put in an OEM one as a replacement. I ended up dialing down the required torque a few pounds as well.

I hope you really didn't bust one of my nuts, but rather a bolt:huh:

They are the same bolts that I have used for a couple of years, from the same source so right now I don't have an answer to the problem. I will however take a sample from my supply and have a talk with the vendor to see if they can answer anything.

Just got back from the 'install party'! Too bad I left my phone in the car, so no pics. Gave the new BP a good test drive. Permagrin!! Nothing beats driving a spyder along one track twisties at sunset! BP made noticable difference, stiffer on bumps, easier to control in corners, kicking the tail out is much more predictable. Thanks a lot Corky!

I was really sweating over you guys getting the braces in time for holiday - well at least Erik's. I know we were too late to be able to get your's to you in time.

I think that we can say that this build is done, as it seems that I have not heard for a couple of people.
So that means a few braces are available for immediate sale.
This is a fisrt come first serve basis.

If you have the means you really should pick up the MSMB rather than the breast plate. Much bigger difference.

Seriously, I don't see why so many people get the BP instead of MSMB. banmepleaseSeems worth it to spend the few extra bucks and get the big boy version, IMO.

Dude, I love the Toms braces. If you had kept them I'd definitely buy a full Corky set.

I have purchased enough material for 20 BPs just like the last time around, and I have lowered the number required for the remaining braces in hopes that this batch can be finished before the hoildays come around.

 

Corky, I went to install my MSMB, FMB, and RMB today and snapped two heads off the bolts were the BP bolts go. I stopped at that point and did not torque anything else. Did you hear anything back from your bolt supplier? I will go tomorrow and get the equilivent of grade 8 in metric for all of the bolts.

Sorry guys I have dropped the ball on following up on the bolt situation.
I just returned from an all too short vacation and need to get things sorted out.
I will have an answer by tomorrow for you.
