01/24/11 Update: I finally have a new website for the products that I make for the Spyder. I, however did not do this myself!!! A very talented fellow did this work for me so plaese check out the site that Mark Hulbrock built. http://www.corkyandcompany.net
Although I am a little low on inventory we are building more right now.

For any questions I can always be contacted thru Email at corky@corkyandcompany.net rather than PMs.
And as always THANKS to you ALL!!

I have the Breastplates finished, and all that were paid for before Christmas have been shipped out.

There are 3 FMBs leftover from the prior build, and I want to get these sold so I am offering a 10% discount on the last few FMBs when purchased with a Breastplate.
That is a 10% discount for both braces when purchased together.

Thanks

Hi Corky and company. I am driving a MrS final edition 6 speed... I notice some brace from other brands cant fit the later models or 6 speed gb etc... may i know, What are the braces from your brand is available for the last edition MR-S?
Hi and welcome to SpyderChat.

The only brace that I have that would help is the BreastPlate. You could benefit from some of the braces like the RMB, RLCB and FSTB if you can find them.
If you are interested in purchasing a BP let me know and I'll get shipping costs.

Thanks for the interest.

I have an '05 Spyder with Autopower 7-point weld-in rollbar. The car has always been a little flimsy in my opinion.

I installed Corkey's MSMB, RLCB, RMB, and...

HOLLYYYY SHHH!!!!!TTTTTTTTTT :biggrin-new:

The car feels soooooooo much stiffer. It's almost like my race car with a full 12-point rollcage.

Before the car felt a little skittish. Any little weight transfer would cause toe and camber change. It made the car feel nervous.

Now it's like night and day. The car is rock solid even over bumpy road. NVH is increased slightly, but with an open top convertible NVH is never a concern.

BTW, since I have an '05 I ended up not installing the FMB. I have that available for sale if anyone is looking.

Recently I have been approaced to build more braces, and up until yesterday I dismissed the idea -but----.

Corky,

I'm with Haloruler on this one. I have a stock '00 that I'm slowly trying to build up. Your input on what should be first please, Sir, and add me to that list!

- Jon
Again it all depends on what you guys want from your cars, and what the future plans are.
Without a doubt the BP is the best bang for the buck at $166.00, but the MSMB adds more stiffness but is considerably more money at $675.00.

Also you can check price and download the installation instruction from the website.

Thanks

If you can afford the MSMB, go with it over just the breastplate.
I believe that Corky redid the RMB many years ago to accommodate the moroso pan, but wait for him to confirm.

I am still "working" with the insurance on my old spyder - the FMB was certainly destroyed in my accident. If I can get them to return my undamaged braces, then I will get another FMB; if they continue being ornery, then I will have to go with just a MSMB and no longer have the others :(

I wish I could give you a definitive answer, Corky, but this has been ongoing since October, so I cannot say when it will end. Thanks for doing this again.

Corky, hi, I am trying to figure out if the RLCB would have interference with my Tom's Hardware RMB. Tom's RMB uses the two gas tank bolts, same as your RMB. Sighting through, it looks like there would be a straight shot from dogbone to dogbone with clearance above the cross bars of Tom's RMB. I suppose I can run a string from dogbone to dogbone and measure the clearance - but if the combination of Tom's RMB and your RLCB is known to work already, that would save me the trouble. What do you think? If we can determine this would work without problem, then I am definitely down for an RLCB. Thanks. Frank.

PS. I measured more than 1.5 inch of clearance from the lowest level of dogbones to highest level of the Tom's RMB, so I think the RLCB should be ok. Please put me down for one.

It is really hard for me to determine if my braces will work with Toms. The clearances with the RLCB are minimal at best and to add another brace onto the same mounting point as the RLCB is asking for severe headaches. I don't think my RLCB will work with Tom's RMB without being altered - sorry.

Put me down for the RCLB please and any chance for a RSTB to complete my Corky collection?
Done - and thank you.

Corky, this list is simply for build demand, it isn't necessarily for a reduced price like a group buy, correct? So the MSMB (http://www.corkyandcompany.net/MSMB.php) is $675 for this buy and likewise the BP is $166, yes?
I only advertize thru SpyderChat, although people can also purchase thru the website. The people on the list and purchase in that manner have priority, the website sells whatever inventory that I may have on hand. It takes a minimum of 5 braces of any particular style for me to start a batch, otherwise it is not financially feasible to do.

Will the RMB clear a Moroso oil Pan?
Yes the RMB was designed to work in conjunction with the Morso pan.
