A bit of trimming of the outer plastic is required for sure above the brake reservoir. This looks awesome! How would this compare to a trd style bar?
I'm shooting from the hip here but It's a solid piece so it has one up on bolt together as this will actually resist the torque the strut towers see. However, the tubing is not placed optimally so that is the sacrifice. I would say this would be less stiff then the TRD but better then all of the bolt together style bars and I'd argue better at torsional resistance then some of the other solid butt welded bars on the market that have no gussets. Sorry if that's to vague but I dislike making claims without unbiased data to back it up. I have a race version for sale for no holds bar bracing.
That wasn't vague.... I really like the idea of the design that retains the original plastic. That makes it very appealing to me (and I'm sure to some others as well). I've had neither solid nor bolt up type of bar so i don't have any idea of what to expect performance wise. The whiteline sway bars and phats breastplate each individually made a drastic improvement on my pfl. I can't imagine this car handling better than it does. Hopefully I can pick one of these up soon and give my unprofessional opinion.
