I noticed yesterday right before I washed my car that I had a couple of bugs that hit it.. on the back bumper.. Now the only things I came up with were: 1. The flow of air caused them to go up and around the car and hit the back bumper. or 2. The bug saw the car parked and thought it was going fast.. took off for it and found out a bit late that it wasn't moving.. Anyone else ever notice this?

I got one for you. I have a cloth car cover. No garage. I came out of the house yesteday and the cover was covered with tiny ants. Never seen that before.

This morning the ants were not there.

What up with that? Did my Spyder get in the path of some kind of ant migration?

Well I wasn't driving in reverse.. the bug had to have hit either while i was stopped at a light or while I was moving.. I look around the car every morning to put a smile on my face

Did you make sure no one poured sugar in your gas tank?

No sugar in the gas tank. The ants were stem to stern.

I find all kinds of insects crawling on my car. I'm thinking of starting a picture gallery.

My guess is that either the cover got wet and the ants like the moisture, or some tree pollen is getting on the cover and the ants like that.

I guess the third possibility is that the only time an ant can walk all over a Spyder is when it's asleep.

If I park my car overnight with the top down (I know, I know, birds etc), if I put my top up in the morning and drive, there's always about 3 mosquitoes in the car.

But not if I put the top up at night.

Last spring there was a huge black bird (crow, raven?) sitting on a fence when we pulled up to a scenic overlook. He dropped down, walked over to my car, and started eating all the bugs caught om my grill that morning. He had to be thinking "fresh roasted, and they deliver!"
