I have only owned cars with timing belts and would replace the belt/ water pump at around 70000 miles. My spyder has 110k on it and I am wondering about the lifespan of these tming chains. Is this an interference motor? And if so should I replace the chain or just the guides. One more question: is the water pump belt driven or does it run off the TC? I wuld greatly appreciate any knowledge on this issue. thanks.

The timing chain should be checked at 130k miles for stretch, otherwise it is for the lifetime of the engine. The engine is interference.
The water pump is a life time item as well. Replace it only if it starts to make noise or leaks. The water pump is belt driven.

If you want to replace anything of value I would replace the 02 senors as they are only rated for 80k miles not when the CEL comes on.
