We grow to un-appreciate many cars for many reasons, two being:
- The type of person you associate with the car
- Perhaps the car was so successful you just see too many of them now.

Which car’s exterior would you ignorantly appreciate the most assuming you were 100% unbiased (some amazing amnesia occurred AND you arrived in a dimensions where all internals are roughly equal).

Today I noticed a particularly shiny old corvette.

[Edit]: Discussing exotic cars was not my intention with this post. My goal is to see how we feel about popular cars if not afflicted by their stereotypes or overabundance.

and the Mecerdes-Benz w113, the prettiest car I've ever seen.

I'm with you on all these. Speaking of Golfs, the old Rabbit wasn't half bad.
Also, the Scion TC was a good design...too good so now there's an eyesore of them.

I think you get what you pay for when it comes to appearance. Same goes with clothing.

I think you get what you pay for when it comes to appearance....

But you can still appreciate a great economy car design..then when it becomes too popular we forget how innovative it was (even in appearance).

Another way to spin the question would be to assume you still had to operate and insure the vehicle.
