The Bay Area's crawling with the darn things. One of the reasons I didn't take a
job at Google was I didn't want to be surrounded by Teslas... and by pretentious
software engineers who thought the idea of an Electric Lotus (whirr!) was cool.
By a weird twist of fate, their big dealership in Menlo Park used to be a Pontiac
dealership. Yes, the same lot that's filled with $100K Tesla roadsters today used
to be filled with...
