so I've been searching on here for a lil while now and I can't seem to find the thread about the oil pressure and what it should be at on a 1zz

can anyone point me in the right direction plz?

this is what I'm getting

at idle:
Cold start- 80-82psi
operating temp- 20-22psi

10w30 conventional, high mileage oil

cold start ~90 psi idle
~ 200f oil temp = ~10 psi idle

The viscosity of the oil changes and gets thinner(i think) the hotter it gets.

that would be correct sir.... never anticipated 80-90psi at startup tho.... all my previous vehicles were around 70 at startup and 20-30 when at operating temp

For people without an add-on oil pressure gauge, the instrument cluster low oil pressure warning light only comes on if the pressure is very low - I've heard that's around 2 PSI. If that light ever comes on, it is bad news and probably too late to do anything about it. It could be the
