Ok, I can't resist any longer. I just bought a 2002 SMT on Ebay from a dealer in Virginia and I got the permagrin in the first mile. It's silver, (the fastest color) and she's got 93,000 miles on her. Someone took xlnt care of her 'cause she looks almost new!
I thought maybe someone here might know who owned her before the dealer in vienna, VA..?? I'd like to know if the precats are gutted! What's the most miles anybody's seen on an original engine?
I've spent hours on this site learning a ton. Thanks to all of you!

Mr. Bastard's visor was the top-rated brakelight visor in Consumer Reports. Highly recommended.

Welcome to SC!

I already ordered one of Corky's breastplates and my wife's beginning to worry about me too. So where's the info on the visor?

If they're not gutted you can buy my gutted pre cats. Welcome to SC. And yes, silver is the fastest color.

As to your question about the pre-cats just pull one or both of the O2 sensors and shine a light on the inside to see if the pre-cat material is there.

Welcome aboard

Welcome to SC & the permagrin club! Very good choice, despite your obvious lack of colour information...we call it "Slow Silver."

It is well known among Spyder owners that, except for a certain White SMT from the flatlands, BLUE?

There are Spyders out there with high miles & precats & still going strong. It is cheap insurance to gut them. Unlike me.

I see moditis is in full swing & there is disposable income to drop @ the altar of the Spyder gods.

short shifter
Team Moon Dual, stainless in OR
any Corky product
Mongo's Wind Blockers
Bama Wind Deflector
Yes, Dev's thingys
Gregg's thingys
suspension @ 93K is up there, new coilovers or Sportivo?
debadge!

Whew!

Hay Warren, I red a few of your postings and believe we are parking very close to each other. I too reside in North East PA and in one of your postings you mentioned Scranton. I am right next door to Scranton. Looking forward to seeing you whe the sun returns

I am in Middle Smithfield Township, just north of East Stroudsburg. By the infamous Marshalls Creek flea market.

I have run a couple meets up on #6 from Viewmont Mall to Wellsboro. A great ride & we had lots of fun, Spyders from several states. I will stay in touch; we will be cruising the twisties soon! We have a solid core of PA Spyders & Mk1&2s & we have meets down in Bucks County, also. Great roads & fun down there, too. I also head down to DC for meets, very active down there and worth the trip.

I wish I had time to go out Monday, I was down by Philly in a GMC van! dman™, should have blown off work & top down, baby!
