I think it can although the mount point for the license plate is also on the oem bar. My crash bar has no correlation in location no the oem license plate location. Probably could work with added spacer tho. I assume it would be just for looks.

Saw the crash bar on Burgan's car at the Dragon recently, it looked really good and not having the factory grills gave it a nice aggressive look IMO.

I am considering this, but my drivers side factory frame rail looks like trash from an accident before I bought the car. So if i run without the grills like I would want it, it would make it extremely noticeable.

It would definitely be for the looks, although I would not purchase the mesh until after I drove it for a time. Perhaps I will come to prefer the openness of the new setup. I will not be running an exhaust through the new crash bar, though, as I have another idea in mind: a custom borla + resonator exhaust with a long, thin rectangular tip exiting through the upper grille. The rear crash bar would merely be to open up the flow of air, show off the custom exhaust, and flat out look better.

I've been running no bumper grill for about a year on two separate cars with multiple different exhausts systems. Let me tell you, get a damn exhaust. That open racy look you think is a look is not a look. It looks like crap, trust me on this one.

My interest is in hopes that the person who made these might consider another run or someone else who has the skills will take over. There certainly is a financial incentive with the number of people interested.

I can't speak for everyone else but this is what I would like.

1. Similar design to the one previously offered . Same tube diameter.
2. Maybe an improvement on the licence plate mounting.
3. Provision for a Toe hook.
4. Should not weigh more than the original bumper.

If it's similar to the one offered around the same pricing it would be a hit.

I think the OEM location would look the best simply because it will hide any of the bits on the rear facia that might make it look like an unfinished piece. It will also line up right for the illumination of the licence plate lights.

If you dig real deep into old threads, rcntype had a bunch and trial and error through the bumper grill exhaust systems. He is my ALL time favorite exhaust whore on any forum. He inspired me to keep looking for what I wanted. He did some raw angle cut tips I really liked back in the day. My first car, and the first car I ever bolted an exhaust on was a Fiat x19. You had to remove a grill on that car too. Ansa quad tip muffler, threw the carb off for sure, I was a kid and thought it was cool to be that loud and throw flames on downshifts..

Back in the day (2005) I asked a Spyder owner at a meet who works at a performance shop if it was possible to run the exhaust pipes through the bumper. It never came to fruition but not long after I seen others do it on their own but it still never looked right aesthetically because the bumper was in the way.
Maybe the picture of the car I linked is just perfect and nothing else is needed except to paint the ugly bits black so the exhaust is the only thing that takes center stage.

I'm just throwing it out there. Phattires it would be awesome if you made a muffler that went with the brace.
Those Magnaflow mufflers are relatively inexpensive and the only hurdle is the cat muffler connection. It doesn't have to be too complex but if it's implemented just right it can show off all that goodness.
