My cars bumper is already done for but just a suggestion so that it doesn't happen to others. I didn't think anything of those lower bumper attachment points until I realized too late.

Can't wait to see the finished product. My cut up beam looks a bit tacky atm.

I found another picture of Davis's car. It looks like this was his pre-open exhaust with a single. This gives us a good idea of what I envisioned which has already been done regarding the cutting of the garnish. I also like the phantom gray accents. I don't think tips are really needed.

Ya that was kinda what I was planning to do but realized I suck at cutting lol

Here is my attempt..

I really like your idea Arana. The 03 rear garnish has three parts, the middle and two outer ends. I believe we do not need all three parts to clip back onto the rear bumper. If someone were to make something similar to Arana's solution, then we can run just the mid piece and have plenty of room to fit whatever tips the individual may want. And like Dev said earlier, we can always discuss ideas for the tips later. I personally dont mind the straight tips. And I do agree with dev that painting the open space black would make the rear much cleaner looking

Got the plate located and most of my fixture done ...

It is looking awesome so far! Can't wait till the finished product!

Here are some pics from RCntype's picture stash from a few years ago..

I know its a little "raw", but it sparked some ideas for me, and when noob offered his rear bar I jumped all over it. I know phatt's bar will push the bracket over and out of sight , but since I have the OG noob bar I decided to do like RCntype but push the tips further towards the outside and angle them to hide the bracket and the mounting nuts a little, and still have access to the tow hook mounting point. With the aluminum pieces ("tip shroud") I made (which will be black when I'm done) it leaves me a ton of room to place the tips and use tow hooks if needed. I'm running 3" exhaust back to the tips (tips will be flush with bumper), and then some kind of angle cut flared tip, all in black. It's a blue car , so the grills, the diffuser (RCntype) , and the tips will be black, I think it will look nice when I finish.

Was watching a chris harris video about racing in some series and another idea came to mind with this bar. How about a provision for people who may want to add a BFW? The bar which is integral to the chassis would be one of the best places to add a wing that could generate real downforce.

I think you should start another thread on this and start getting some pictures and dimensions . You know how high ,how far back . I also don't have a very good feel for how strong it would have to be ... I guess you'd have to build 1 and then see if it bends ....

Sorry for the delay ... I'm ready to get this project done . The plan is to get the end brackets cut so it has a small slot instead of drilled holes . I should be able to get those this week and get all the tube cut to length and the LP brackets cut and drilled . Then starting next week weld them all together .

The target price is $225 shipped ... I haven't check on shipping yet but I think I can make it work . I know a list of interested people has been started so I will repost ... if you think you want one put your name on the list . Just cause your name is on the list doesn't mean you have to buy one ... I'm just trying to see how many to build . I'd rather have a couple to many then not enough .

I will post a picture of the of the finished product when I have one next week ..... Thanks
