What I found was pulling the 7.5 amp EFI2 fuse, stopped my 350ma drain. I think it goes to BC2 pin5 and that goes to E… something
But here’s the kicker. I measure the expected volts on that E pin, with the fuse out, both key on and off. The ECU goes to sleep about 5 seconds after key off.
However with the fuse in, constant 12V and 350ma drain.

no idea yet if this has any longer term impacts. I can’t find anything else on that circuit. The rest of the harness is removed with the swap, so there’s no other load.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but it seems one of, if not the common denominator here is MAPs engine harness (and MiM as well?). I think it would be helpful for folks to clarify their wiring setup.

Regardless of what wiring harness adapter you use, if you are using a Honda or Hondata ECU, you must wire the EFI relay in the same manner as the the OEM Honda/Acura, or the ECU will stay powered when you turn off the ECU.
I’ve heard that. What I don’t understand is whether the wiring per Mitch’s Auto is done this way.

I had to rewire mine and add a relay (I don't use AC, so I repurposed my AC relay). My harness was an early edition so I don't know how or when it was updated. PM me and I can send a conversion wiring diagram

Thanks for the message! It would be nice if we knew what changed between versions of the harness. I’m hesitant to mess anything based on what worked for you, since I have the current version MAP harness.

For those of you with K24, are you using the stock upper coolant housing?
Also anyone in here run Haltech Elite ? Is it as simple to run as Hondata?
I’m running k24a2 with stock upper coolant housing no problem. Running Hondata, so can’t speak to Haltech. Do you already have the Haltech? I imagine it would cost a lot more if not.

No problem using the upper coolant housing. If you use the tractuff v1 swirl pot and get rid of the factory coolant bottle for a generic overflow it cleans up the plumbing a lot in our bay
Haltech is not as easy to use as hondata. A very capable ecu that is more than what most need

Not saying the Tractuff swirl pot won't work, but I don't like the design because the inlet and outlet are so close to the same height. The original tank is not an overflow tank, it is there to separate air and steam bubbles from the liquid to continually de-aerate the coolant through a small-flow bypass circuit. This is generally done with an inlet near the top and an exit near the bottom of the tank. The Tractuff setup seems to eliminate the bypass dearation and takes all of the coolant flow out the engine through the swirl tank. I would expect it to be more restrictive in overall coolant flow than the OEM setup and not do as good a job with dearation.

And Dave I know you are a smart guy, but you talk out of the wrong hole a lot about things you aren't positive about or speculate.

The tsx does not use a dearation tank. You can use yours, it works. Saying it does a better job is speculation.

These are what we use on honda powered track cars and they work beautifully. If they didn't, I'm sure all the GLTC club TR guys would be buying mr2 coolant bottles with their ehps pumps

I think I was making it clear that I was speculating that this was not an improvement over the Spyder coolant flow strategy.
