I did a lot of massaging due to watching both your channels! With the Skunk2 pro copy IM on K24 there was plenty of clearance. The closest was the TB with about 1.5”. Just enough to reach the TPS bolts. My only clearance issue turns out to be with the AC compressor pulley. Only about 1/2” and it hits slightly on hard braking. Let me know if you have a solution for this.

Are you using the k series compressor or the MAP relocation kit for 1zz compressor?

Thank you for the feedback.

I'll probably pick up a pro. I am tempted by the ultra, it seems like it's got even more clearance, especially since it tapers and the vacuum ports are closer to the motor. Anyone ever try running these?

Looks like you can't go wrong with the Ultra. On the B series, it picks up a good bit of power over the Pro. I couldn't find a comparison specific to the K series.

I’m running the z3 head on an 08 k24a2 bottom end. Most internet searches will say the z3 head flows marginally better than the k24, that is false. The diameter of the throats of the k24 are about the size of a quarter, the k24 next to the z3 head, the z3 are obviously much bigger. The z3 head next to k20a2 or k20z head the ports look exactly the same.
EnDyn said the z3 head is the best out of the box 🤷‍♂️

as for the intake manifold I have the ultra STREET but it’s CNC ported, as they come from skunk the diameter of the runners were 1mm smaller than the rsp manifold I was replacing. Anyone interested in that manifold I strongly suggest getting it ported.
look up perfect circle engines in Winchester, Virginia for a good price on that with fast turn around.

as for clearance, I have good bit with minimal firewall bashing. You really only need a little bit near the TPS

So you removed the little angle brace on the passenger side and the compressor pulley is hitting the frame?

Yes. It only hits under hard braking or downhill but it has made contact. There is about 1/2" of clearance. I am going to get a motor mount insert to see if that helps.
I wasn't expecting that. Please update with what insert you go with and if it works.

I used the Energy Suspension 16.1110R front mount insert. Also added a 1/4” plate to space out the mount. This gave a little more clearance and no more rubbing! There isn’t any noticeable increase in vibration either.

Speaking of AC my compressor is bad and I wanting to just remove it. Right now I’m using an adjustable pulley and the oem Toyota belt. Which belt works without the ac compressor? And perhaps I can get rid of the adjustable pulley?

In my experience, if you're not driving at least 3-4 days, disconnect the battery. With both, RSX-S harnesses and custom harness, the battery would be completely dead within 2 weeks. I can't find anything "wrong" so I assume it's just a flaw in how everything works together.

Anybody have issues with parasitic drains? Car has a custom harness and I didn't do the swap. I'm not looking forward to going through the fuses.
If you do not wire the Honda or Hondata ECU and all of the supporting relays just like they are in a Honda or Acura, the ECU relay will not turn off when you key off. This is a common problem that can be solved with an extra relay. PM me for the diagrams.

Is there a better shift adapter than the innovative one? Its been a few years so i dont know what all is out now.
I'm running Hux's Hybrid box with Jason Shoe's adapter (ordered it from him on Facebook). I'm using oem Honda cables. Shifts great, but the newer gen MAP cables are a cheaper option (the Hux box itself is a good bit, the adapter is cheap on trans).
