Not that it's top secret that some of the ZZ engines ended up in pontiac clothing, but still, I'm sure GM has assigned their own part number even if it is the same unit.

*GM parts guy removes egg (and spit) from face trying to explain that the die-hard domestic fan bought a gddman import in domestic metalwork*

Price is a little high, I paid $1500 ish for a brand supercharger kit from toyota. Looks like the same casting to me.

The supercharger can be cut to make fit the car. (A little labor intensive.)
Or a smaller easier cut can be made to the plenum and then a smaller hole needs to be cut in the firewall to make it fit.
Regardless of what anyone else says, it’s the cheapest way to go force induction.

It is limited, the supercharger rotors in that thing are MP45, fairly small.

I would see if it comes with the electronics, in the Toyota version the electronics were packaged separately, a different part number. But honestly the included electronics are crappy. A piggy back would be better.

I think by the time your are installed and done with that supercharger it will cost as much as a Turbokits.com turbokit. However you will make less power than the turbo and have a hacked up spyder with a hole in the firewall.

Do it right from the beginning. This is very little reason to buy that supercharger.

You think wrong. I’ve done one of these superchargers on my own car and helped someone else do there’s. It’s a nice simple FI setup and through the simplicity there is very little that can go wrong.
There is some fabrication required, but it will only be hacked up if you do a crappy job.
The guy posted asking about a supercharger, not a tubro kit.

It is a bit of a stretch to reference buying a turbo kit from turbokits.com as “Doing it right”.

I have installed 2 TRD superchargers 1 on a corolla and 1 on a matrix. The only reason they were installed was because they were smog legal in California.

They are simple to do. You still need a piggy back or PFC since the Toyota black box barely works correctly. They are not intercooled. If you want it to be reliable then you also have to factor in the cost of water injection . They barely make enough horsepower to warrant cutting up the rear firewall or spending the extra money on cutting and rewelding the supercharger housing.

The short answer is, no, it does not fit in the spyder without modifiaction.
