I think you need to reconsider the MR-S because it’s very similar to MRS where some dumb lesbian might get triggered and think it’s some kind of dog whistle for make me a sandwich.

“The title "Mrs." is often considered sexist because it traditionally implies a woman's marital status and her connection to her husband, potentially subordinating her identity to his. The title is rooted in historical practices where women's value and social standing were often tied to their marital status, with "Miss" and "Mrs." becoming shorthand for young, unmarried, and married women, respectively. This contrasts with "Mr.," which is a neutral title applicable to men regardless of their marital status. The use of "Mrs." is seen as outdated and potentially demeaning by some, as it implies that a woman's identity is defined by her relationship to a man.“

In all seriousness, there are numerous symbols and historical connotations that require careful consideration and nuance. For instance, Lexus drew inspiration from the era of imperial Japan when they designed the LS 400. This inspiration came from the manufacturing of the Japanese Zero, which was repurposed and responsible for destroying American ships. This information is detailed in the book “Relentless Pursuit.” I have a Japanese friend who was taught in school that the Japanese never surrendered but instead compromised to end the war.

On a personal note, I have swastikas in my home, but I am not a Nazi. They are a part of my heritage, not a symbol of hate. In West Virginia I was shocked to see a truck with a large confederate flag driven by a black gentleman. I come to find out that there are some African-Americans from the south considered the confederate flag part of their heritage.

I am provocative with ambiguous symbolism to make people think.

Anyway, sorry for the rant. I do like the stickers.

Symbols are like words. They are elements of communication. If you keep them at home or keep them inside your own mind, they can mean whatever you want them to mean. Once you put them out in public, they will mean whatever other people take them to mean.

When I was a youth, I lived in my own private universe. Words meant what I though they should mean. At some point, I decided that I cared about other people, and that what I said to them was more important than what I thought.

The swastika is a very old symbol representing power. Old maps may use a swastika as a symbol for a power station. However, the Nazis so defiled it that it will be hundreds of years before it ever has another meaning. It is too bad that fascists and authoritarians can permanently destroy language, but that is how words and symbols work.

No idea what you meant about repurposing the Zero.

The swastika is an auspicious symbol of my religion for thousands of years. It is what we would decorate our porch with on certain religious holidays and what is drawn in the front pages of young children's books in religious ceremonies on the beginning of their school year as a symbol of good luck. It may have many meanings and it was also used in other cultures but the swastika is the actual Sanskrit word.
The Nazis believed it to be part of their heritage with their own misinterpretation of the Euro aryan invasion theory that started the earliest forms of Vedic philosophy.
I do give up my heritage by not decorating my porch because I understand that people would not understand historical or religious context that is an important part of my ancient culture that greatly predates the Nazis from using it and the pain and suffering it means to so many. It's not the hill I am going to die on but some do when they vandalize Teslas with that symbol without understanding that the cars they are destroying are those that agree with them socially and politically.

Like I said I am provocative to make people think. I did say I have swastikas because I knew it would anger some so I would have the opportunity to explain and make them think it's not always what people should assume without context.

The Japanese developed the Zero as a fighter aircraft not for kamikaze missions.

Damn you are such a troll Dev 🤣
Roughly eight years ago there was a member that tried to shame me as some sort of white supremacist. Those that know I am not white couldn't contain themselves.
It was never revealed to him but I had so much fun trolling the guy because he had a self righteous PC stick up his ass for the "marginalized".

At this point I'd like to invite the OP to start a new sticker thread with the current designs, and any others he might like to add... in the appropriate sub forum and I'll make it a sticky... for stickers, get it...

Because dev has decided to go on his woke rampage against all that is decent and good in the world, he is clearly a racist bigot xenophobic anti-trans activist with ties to the KKK and BLM within the overarching oligarchical antidemocratic defund the police movement. Probably killed the pope too.

You should meet my Nephew. His name is Aryan. No joke. I am also bald now but not by choice.
I need to start listening to punk rock. The music of my people.

Your friend dots not feathers, thank you and come again. 👌

This thread is unhinged lmao.

@dev, when I was a kid I didn't know about the cultural/ religous tradition of swastikas, I only knew about their usage by the Nazis. I went over to a friends house to pickup some food for an event and was greeted with them everywhere. I was very surprised and had no idea wtf was going on lol. Rushed out of there and asked my friend about it, and he kindly explained lol.

Some plaster them everywhere because the more you have the better the luck. I have them in my house but not everywhere so it depends on the family.

Most don't realize it is as important of a display as other peoples religious iconography. However those that do display it are met with the police or some group that harasses them over it and are asked to take it down for the sake of others feelings who are usually not the ones that were directly effected by it. Most like my family don't display it because we are practical people that do not want trouble from irrational people and the embarrassing indignant treatment that comes with it. We just want to go along to get along. Not that we would ask anyone to give up their religious practices but I highly doubt they would if the shoe was on the other foot.

When I was in Taiwan we went to the Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Museum and saw this. The Buddhist Swastika is stable, sitting flat. The Nazis flipped it and turned it on its point. They're different symbols really but most westerners aren't used to that.

They can go in either direction and they can be turned. The Buddhists ones in the far east are generally flipped for whatever reason.
The Buddhist sculptures are also very different from region to region. The ones in my house look like the region where he was born.

OP checking back in here. Apologies for the delay I got sidetracked by the nice weather and doing some work on my Spyder.

After getting caught up on everything in this thread I gotta say I'm not disappointed. Historical knowledge, cultural facts, well thought out perspectives about the world all while including a healthy dose of friendly humor. Clearly I have found my way to the right group of people.

That said unless there is good reasoning against it, I'm good to keep this thread alive and and post new concepts when they're complete (Still developing them).

- Refreshing the rusted calipers was the project I was working on btw (pics below if interested).
