I have an 04 civic si trans with LSD and I already fitted a rsx type s linkage to it....I'd sell for the right price but was hoping to trade for an S2K trans of similar condition. It has about 40-50k on it and looks new. Not doing a kswap into my mr2 anymore

I also have the version 1 kswap mounts from innovative with the black bushings. PM me if you're interested in either. Just thought I'd throw it out there since both of these things are in the conversation right now

Swap mounts

Reading through the threads, it seems like at least some of the holes in 1 or more mounts needed to be "modified"

Swapping a RSX K20a into a MRS, using Insane axles, we did make a change to the passenger side bracket. Going by the assumption that these axles were made for this swap using this engine and swap mounts, we assembled the rear suspension and aligned it. Leaving the axle nuts loose we measured the movement of the axles. The driver side was 1/8” and the passenger side was ½”. We had the bracket that goes from the front of the engine to the passenger side mount slotted 3/16” ( because of the angle of the bracket, the slot does not align with the bracket in anyway). We also raised the passenger side ¼” and lowered the driver side ¼”(also takes care of the problem with the bolts being too long). I am guessing a track car would just lower the driver side using spacers and longer bolts. The engine is still not perfectly level (measured on the intermediate shaft), but it looks right and the vertical angles of the two axles are about the same. After doing this the rear mount bolt-in without modification and the two rear axles have the same movement. I am glad someone makes mounts for this swap and I do not expect them to go in without doing some extra work. I also do not expect step by step instructions, but some helpful hints would be nice. I think we all install the rear mount last and we are tempted to modify it when it does not fit. In our case making a small change to the passenger side mount seemed to correct everything.

Had to shift gears slightly. Car number two is being rebuilt after the tuner destroyed the engine and trans. We have a deadline to get this car on the track. Bracket progress has slowed down. Im still hoping early august as we should have the car completely rebuilt by mid next week

All k series. You CAN use driver side but not passenger the oil pan is in the way. Also if the AC bracket there is a small grey bracket thats runa from frame to the tracking arm that needs to be removed to clear the pulley. Working on redesigning that bracket

I would think that the lower suspension braces would be missed, especially since we now have a heavier and more powerful motor. Have some of you had experience with the K-swap on a racetrack with sticky tires? Anyone feel that driving hard without the lower suspension braces is no big deal? Has anyone redesigned the pass - side brace to go around the oil pan?
