Hey folks. We had to weigh my car to meet class rules. At 1/3 tank it was 2195. Once we topped off the tank it read:

Some notes: this was not level ground, and the car has not been corner balanced, nor aligned.
nice, with or without driver?

mine with was 2434, 3/4 tank. i'm about 195 w gear on. no frunk pieces, no rear bins, hard dog single diagonal, hard top, soft top deleted.

That is not bad... I have been going back n forth about a full cage or hard dog. W/ soft top delete.

I believe the 03+ cars are significantly heavier than the 00-02 models.
Not really. The 2003 are about the same weight. Only the rear wheels are a little heavier. My 2003 weighed about the same as my 2001. In 2004 they added more crash structure in front of the driver footwell as well as a few more bracing front and rear, and 03-05 leather seats. They also had an optional LSD, Weight with or without LSD will be around anywhere between 40-70lbs+, 2000-2003, depending on equipment.

I currently have an 01,03, and 04 spyder so it's interesting to put them on a lift and see how they are different underneath.

Kpro ECU

Hondata has the option of utilizing the more affordable and plentiful 2002-2004 RSX base auto ECU, instead of a Type-S ECU, for the Kpro conversion. A pretty simple wiring change is required. Have any of you tried this?

I got the email from them a few weeks ago. We havent use it yet. Everyone still wants the 6 spd version. Your only saving maybe $100

The problem is that reverse lock-out feature is specific to the type s ecu as far as I understand it.

To be honest with you, you can wire it up your self. If you run a 12v power supply to the plug and put a switch on it in the dash you can manually turn it on and off. You can even tap into the cigarette lighter for the power supply.

Are you sure about that? Pretty sure you can change the output pins in Kpro. You might want to test the different pins to see if you can get one of them to work.

V4.0.6 (9 Jan 2015)
"Changed PRB calibration to activate reverse lock out via pin B22 (secondary intake runner). This allows PND ECUs to be used rather than the PRB ECU."
